ProAmpac is seeking an Assistant Extrusion Machine Operator to support flexible packaging production in a fast-paced, safety-first environment. You will assist with machine setup, monitoring, and changeovers; load materials; perform basic adjustments; and conduct visual and dimensional quality checks. Partner closely with operators and maintenance to ensure efficient, continuous runs while following all safety and 5S standards. Responsibilities Assist with setup, start-up, and shutdown of extrusion machines Monitor machine operation, film quality, and output during production runs Load and stage resins, films, and other materials safely and efficiently Perform routine visual and dimensional quality checks and record results Assist with changeovers, cleaning, and basic adjustments to reduce downtime Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and 5 S/housekeeping standards Communicate issues to lead operators, maintenance, and supervisors promptly Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time Support preventive maintenance tasks as directed by maintenance or leads Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and quality goals Required Skills Extrusion machine operation Mechanical troubleshooting Quality inspection Measurement tools (calipers, gauges) Machine setup and changeovers Basic math and documentation Safety procedures and PPE use Material handling Reading production schedules Preventive maintenance
