Job Description Plant Information:

We freeze-dry multiple frozen animal types of meat for the pet treat and food industries.

10 hours shift Monday-Thursday- with overtime as needed.

•Our plant uses peanut and shellfish products.

Duties:

Freeze Dry training will be done on-site, NO previous Freeze dry experience is required The Freeze Dry Technician assists the Freeze Dry Lead and includes lifting overhead, bending, standing, and walking.

Materials used:

Product Metal Racks & Trays, scales, box tapers, pallet jacks, and forklifts Fill product trays with frozen material using the automated tray loader and load Freeze Dry units Fill product totes with finished freeze-dried material Handle frozen boxed material Clean/sanitize product equipment including floors, product trays, and racks Safely clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures. Lifting, pre-soaking 8 lb. Freeze-Dry trays prior to loading using a pressure washer Loading/Unloading, & Operating COP SaniMatic cleaning equipment to clean Freeze Dry product trays Record time and trays washed on the KPI form Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of COP room area/trays You will be trained in basic food safety concepts

Requirements:

Must be able to work in a variety of conditions Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and safety guidelines Promote general housekeeping/keep work area a safe and clean environment Positive attitude, good attendance & attention to detail Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Forklift operation is a plus, but not required Must be able to communicate with management and co-workers effectively and positively Hairnets and safety glasses are required in all production areas. Earplugs are supplied for areas that require them Full-time attendance

Education:

High School Diploma / GED (Open to applicants who do not have a High School Diploma / GED)

Work Conditions:

The job consists of standing and walking around the work area. It also consists of bending over, lifting and hands out in front of you. You will occasionally use steps and ladders. Full use of hearing and sight is required for this area due to the safety of our employees. Certain areas of the production area will be 40-45 degrees.

From $19.00 per hour
