Elipticon Wood Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer in high-end custom manufacturing, is growing and is looking for a Machine Setup Operator to join our team of employee-owners. This is not a "push a button and watch it run" job. We are looking for someone who understands machines, wants to learn setup and adjustment, and takes ownership of producing consistent, high-quality output. Experience operating manufacturing equipment is helpful, but we are willing to train the right mechanically inclined person with a strong work ethic and desire to learn. Your responsibilities will include:
Setting up production machinery and preparing for runs Installing tooling and making machine adjustments as needed Learning how to dial in machine settings for quality and consistency Operating equipment and monitoring production during runs Inspecting product to ensure it meets quality standards Troubleshooting issues and making adjustments to minimize downtime Performing basic maintenance and keeping equipment in good working order Completing digital work orders and production reporting Coordinating with team members to maintain workflow and efficiency Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area Who We're Looking For Experience in machine operation, manufacturing, or production environments preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn machine setup and adjustment Interest in understanding how machines work—not just running them Ability to read measurements and work with fractions/decimals Strong attention to detail and quality mindset Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Team-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated High school diploma or equivalent preferred Forklift certification a plus (training available) Schedule Full-Time |
