  • 6am•6pm 2/2/3 schedule (2 on, 3 off, 2on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off) Night Crew•6pm-6am 2/2/3 schedule (2 on, 3 off, 2on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off) ($2 per hour shift differential for those working nights)
JOB SUMMARY
Runs the machinery to which assigned and provides basic adjustments as needed. The Machine Operator has knowledge of all types of product/paper that is run on assigned machinery. Sets up and operates the machine to meet deadlines and uphold quality standards per customer specifications. Responsible for the quality of the product and performing quality inspection checks. Follows all safety procedures, understands all safety equipment, and adheres to the company safety policies and procedures. The Machine Operator maintains the machinery to include general maintenance, cleaning and troubleshooting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. The Machine Operator performs machine set up to ensure the quality and efficiency of material being processed and ensures the continual operation of the machine. 2. The Machine Operator must be familiar with the basic machine functions to meet production deadlines. 3. Quality control; detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions. Follows the Standard Operating Procedures to report any problems with the beginning or ending product. Makes any necessary adjustments to correct the situation. 4. The Machine Operator maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows the prescribed safety regulations. 5. Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machine as required. Other Functions
  • The Machine Operator uses different types of tools and equipment: forklifts, clamps and hand lifts, measuring devices, various hand tools, dial indicators and compactors.
Assists Material Handlers regarding organization of materials. The Machine Operator must be able to work independently. Daily contact with co-workers, management, third party vendors and customers requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment. Employee understands they are a representative of the employer. The Machine Operator will be required to perform all other duties as requested, directed, or assigned, to include other departments and job tasks.
