Pay:
Starts at $16.50 / hour
Summary:
The Pre-Weigh Technician in the Compounding Department is responsible for accurately preparing and staging all raw ingredients required for batch production. This role is critical to the efficiency and quality of the compounding process
  • ensuring that Compounders receive correctly measured, properly documented, and safely handled materials before each batch begins.
Job Responsibilities:
Review and interpret batch sheets to identify required raw ingredients, quantities, and sequencing. Pull raw materials from various container types including 55-gallon drums, 400-gallon totes, and 50-lb bags. Accurately measure and weigh both full and partial quantities of raw ingredients as specified on batch sheets. Calculate and account for tare weights to ensure net weights are correct. Stage pre-weighed ingredients in an organized manner for Compounders to use in batch production. Record all materials pulled from inventory, including quantities used and amounts remaining in each container. Maintain accurate, legible written records on batch sheets and inventory logs. Ensure all documentation is completed in real time and reflects actual quantities pulled. Report any discrepancies in inventory, labeling, or batch sheet instructions to a supervisor promptly. Operate a forklift to move raw material containers (drums, totes, bags, and pallets) safely and efficiently throughout the facility. Follow all safety protocols when handling, transporting, and storing raw materials. Ensure proper placement and storage of materials to maintain an organized and hazard-free work environment. Maintain a clean and organized pre-weigh work area at all times. Perform all tasks with a high degree of accuracy to prevent batch errors, waste, or production delays.
Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods throughout a shift. Comfortable working with industrial-sized containers including drums and totes. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include chemical odors and varying temperatures. Strong attention to details Experience reading batch strongly preferred Strong math skills Experience documenting in a manufacturing environment
