Punch Press Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust and operate punch press to perform operations such as punch, blank, form, coin, etc.
• Position and align die members and secure by bolting the bottom section to the press bed or bolster plate, secure the top section to the ram by using ram "T" slot bolts and nuts
• Set up multiple-purpose adjustable punching dies for dimensional requirements specific to individual jobs
• Set up and synchronize automatic material feeds
• Use scales, calipers, micrometers, templates, patterns, or samples to set up and check the quality of work Requirements for

Punch Press Machine Operator:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of manufacturing experience preferably in heavy machine operation
• Excellent math skills and ability to read, interpret and follow a variety of blueprints, schematics and work instructions
• Ability to take precise measurements utilizing a variety of inspection tools including micrometers, calipers and a variety of gauges/tools
• Ability to work 10 hours in a physically active and challenging environment that includes but is not limited to; walking, standing, lifting, twisting, turning, pushing and pulling
