Job Description

Job Summary Installation of injection molds into injection molding machines. Staging work centers with all ancillary equipment, as necessary for running production jobs. Equipping the molding machines with hardware necessary to manufacture the part desired. Perform process start up using information provided by process engineering. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Must be able to operate and set-up all molding machines, secondary equipment and auxiliary equipment.
  • Reading and interpretation of process set-up sheets.
  • Manipulation of machine controls to achieve desired parameters as detailed on the process set-up sheets.
  • Installation of molds in molding machines, observing all safeties related to the machines, molds, and co-workers.
  • Staging and set-up of secondary equipment including hot stampers, ultra-sonic welders, pressing machines, heat transfer machines, drill fixtures, etc.
  • Analytical problem solving including diagnosis of root causes and appropriate fixes.
  • Responsible for productive cycle times and to communicate non-productive processes to shift supervisor.
  • Must understand job quality requirements on all production parts.
  • Responsible for ensuring the press and area surrounding is wiped down and cleaned during and after each set-up.
  • Must ensure documentation has been completed such as molding process sheets, Tooling Evaluation Form, set-up check list, mold tags, production reports and maintenance request.
  • Will be responsible for entering data into IQMS for operator and production counts.
  • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in injection molding setups/processing. Apprenticeship and/or specialized training a plus
  • Must have basic mechanical abilities to handle injection molds including their installation in the molding machine.
  • Must have an understanding of the cause and effect relationships between process conditions and the interaction that causes these conditions.
  • Able to read and follow written instructions as well as be able to clearly follow oral instructions
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be self-motivated and show enthusiasm
  • Must be reliable and dependable
Pay Structure:
The pay is negotiable and based on skill level and ability
Job Type:
Full-time Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
