Machine Operator

Shift Location:
Waukesha, WI Pay:

$18

•19/hour, based on experience

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM

•3:00 PM Position Overview The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating production machinery, making machine and tooling adjustments, and performing routine maintenance. This role ensures products meet quality and production standards, completes production records, performs quality checks, and packages finished products as needed. Job Duties & Responsibilities Make adjustments to wire guides, picker gaps, carriage speeds, material pressure, trimmers, wire tension, and other machine settings. Change filling tools, pickers, wire, and other components as required. Perform routine machine maintenance, including lubrication, belt changes, trimmer head changes, and cleaning vacuum systems and computer air filters. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Operate machines to meet or exceed standard production rates while maintaining product specifications. Document machine setups and production information in logbooks. Cut raw materials as needed. Box and package finished products when applicable. Perform or obtain quality checks throughout the production process before moving to the next operation. Identify and immediately report quality issues to the Production Supervisor. Qualifications Previous machine operation experience Basic shop math and understanding of metric measurements Ability to read a ruler and use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and stay organized Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
