No Degree RequiredResponsibilities Operate production and machining equipment according to established procedures and work instructions. Set up machines for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting basic settings, and starting equipment. Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper performance and detect any irregularities. Perform visual quality inspections of machined parts to verify they meet required specifications, including checking for defects such as burrs, incorrect dimensions, surface damage, or incomplete machining. Remove and segregate non-conforming parts and notify supervisors or quality personnel when issues arise. Maintain accurate production records, including part counts, downtime, and inspection results. Keep the work area clean and organized in accordance with housekeeping standards. Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning machines, replacing basic tooling, and reporting mechanical problems.
