Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various cutting and machining equipment to produce precise metal components according to technical specifications. Your expertise in machine setup, measurement, and safety standards will ensure high-quality output and efficient production processes. Duties Operate a variety of cutting machines including CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, stamping presses, and forming machines to shape and cut metal materials accurately. Set up and program CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC laser cutters to meet production specifications. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine measurements and machining requirements. Use precision measurement instruments to inspect parts for quality control, ensuring adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Maintain safety protocols by following established safety standards during machine operation and handling materials. Conduct routine maintenance on machinery such as press brakes, CNC equipment, and hand tools to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to machine operation or product quality, adjusting setups as needed for optimal results. Experience Proven experience operating machining tools including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, stamping presses, and forming machines in a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints accurately. Familiarity with measuring instruments used for quality inspection and precision measurement in machining processes. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and the ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols during all operations. Experience with machine setup, programming (including CNC programming), and troubleshooting is highly desirable. Basic math skills including shop math necessary for measuring and calculating dimensions during fabrication. Prior work involving sheet metal fabrication, metal forming, welding, electrical discharge machining (EDM), or similar processes is a plus.
