Job Description

POSITION TITLE
BURNER/LASER
OPERATOR - ENTRY LEVEL
(LEVEL I) 2nd Shift A Burner/Laser Operator - Entry Level (Level I) is responsible for flame/laser cutting material to customer specifications.
POSITION REPORTS TO
Site specific (Plant Superintendent, Shift Supervisor, Production Manager, and/or Warehouse Manager)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Position correct type and size of steel on the burning/laser table  Monitor the burning of the material  Remove steel and scrap from burning unit  Perform IPIR  Understand and follow the work-order process for meeting customer quality expectations  Use the process scheduler  Perform preventive maintenance checks on equipment as scheduled  Work area responsibilities - follow 5S and safety standards
QUALIFICATIONS
 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.  Ability to follow written instructions and drawings  Ability to use tape measure, calipers, and micrometer  Certified to operate a lift truck and crane  Ability to use a hand grinder  High school diploma, training, and/or equivalent experience
REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
 Steel-toe safety shoes  Gloves  Safety glasses  Hard hat
OTHER RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS
:  Ability to work shifts mandated by management  Ability to pass drug test
