Job Title:
Cleanroom Assembler Job Description This role focuses on the day-to-day production and packaging of components used in medical devices within a cleanroom manufacturing environment. You will join a dedicated, experienced, and high-performing team at a modern facility, contributing directly to products that help alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. The position emphasizes safety, quality, continuous improvement, and meeting production goals while following Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Responsibilities Perform a variety of production assembly tasks, ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive operations, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Assemble and prepare products using visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, and written or verbal assembly instructions. Set up initial layouts and use a variety of tools to prepare and assemble products to specification. Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed products to ensure proper functionality and quality. Perform quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with established quality specifications and documentation requirements. Operate packaging machinery as needed to package components and finished products. Box finished products and apply labeling materials accurately and consistently. Follow all cleanroom protocols, including proper gowning procedures and use of personal protective equipment such as eyewear, ear plugs, hair nets, and protective gowns. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area in alignment with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity. Essential Skills No prior assembly or manufacturing experience required; entry-level candidates are welcome. Ability to perform general labor and production tasks in a cleanroom environment. Capability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, including visual aids, diagrams, schematics, and process flow sheets. Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining high attention to detail and quality. Willingness to wear and properly use personal protective equipment, including eyewear, ear plugs, hair net, and protective gowning. Ability to work assigned shift hours and remain independently mobile within the work area as needed. Basic ability to interact with workplace technology and communicate effectively with peers and co-workers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment is a plus. Experience using measuring devices and hand tools is preferred. cleanroom technician or medical assembly worker is beneficial but not required. Interest in medical device manufacturing and working in a highly regulated environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, tools, and quality standards. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a cleanroom manufacturing facility that is air conditioned and designed for comfort and safety. Many tasks are performed in a sit-down setting, although you must remain independently mobile as needed to complete your work. You will work in a controlled environment that requires strict adherence to cleanroom protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices. Personal protective equipment is mandatory and includes eyewear, ear plugs, a hair net, and protective gowning. The role follows a 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The work environment emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration, with regular interaction with peers and co-workers and the use of tools, packaging machines, and standard production equipment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
