Job Overview A growing medical device startup is seeking a Medical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The Assembler will be responsible for assembling orthopedic implants and instruments while ensuring products meet established quality, safety, and manufacturing standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow precise procedures in a cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, quality-focused, and comfortable working with small components and tools. Responsibilities Assemble orthopedic implants and instruments according to established procedures and specifications. Perform quality checks and inspections throughout the manufacturing process. Follow documented manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work in a cleanroom environment and follow required cleanroom procedures. Use small hand tools and equipment to perform detailed assembly tasks. Identify and help troubleshoot manufacturing or quality issues. Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments. Support process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives. Meet production goals and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and product quality. Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety and product quality. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous manufacturing, production, or assembly experience preferred. Medical device manufacturing experience is a plus. Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with small components. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and procedures. Basic understanding of quality control principles. Strong teamwork and communication skills. High level of integrity and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications Experience assembling medical devices or orthopedic implants. Knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO standards related to medical device manufacturing. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive and detailed hand assembly work. Ability to wear required cleanroom clothing and PPE.
