Role:
The Medical Device Set Up Technician (Spanish Speaking) plays a critical role in ensuring that medical devices are properly assembled, configured, and prepared for use in clinical settings across the United States. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to guarantee that all devices meet stringent safety and quality standards before deployment. The technician will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve any setup issues, ensuring seamless integration of devices into medical procedures. Fluency in Spanish is essential to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking colleagues and clients, facilitating clear instructions and support. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to patient care quality by ensuring that medical devices are ready and functioning optimally when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma Proven experience in medical device setup, assembly, or technical support. Fluency in both Spanish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic understanding of medical device regulations and safety standards. Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and maintain accurate documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a healthcare or clinical environments Familiarity with electronic medical devices and troubleshooting techniques. Additional language skills beyond Spanish and English. Experience with inventory management and supply chain processes related to medical devices.
Responsibilities:
Assemble, configure, and test medical devices according to manufacturer specifications and clinical requirements. Perform routine maintenance and quality checks to ensure devices meet safety and performance standards. Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff and patients, with clear communication in both English and Spanish. Document setup procedures, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered during device preparation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, clinical staff, and customer service to resolve technical problems promptly.
