As a Feed Mill Operator 1, you will help keep production moving by bagging and preparing finished feed, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and supporting daily mill operations. We are looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and interested in building their skills.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Bag, sew, label, stack and prepare finished feed products to meet production goals. Inspect bags, stitching, labels and finished products for quality and accuracy. Assist with the operation of conveyors, bagging equipment, and other feed production equipment. Maintain cleanliness throughout the feed mill and warehouses. Assist with routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance. Promptly report equipment concerns, safety hazards, product quality concerns, and needed repairs. Safely use equipment, such as hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks, and forklifts. Safely operate a hammer mill, auger and grinder. Demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to completing assigned tasks. Promote a positive, safety-minded, and team-oriented work environment. Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships. Practice punctual and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to understand and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions. Demonstrate strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Demonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating websites and receiving/sending emails. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds frequently (occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance). Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods while working in a production environment or on a bagging line. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, and climb stairs or ladders. Ability to work in a dusty environment and in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. Pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment. Professional appearance and demeanor.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Production, warehouse or manufacturing experience.

SCHEDULE

This is a full time, 40 hours per week position, typically Monday - Friday. Employees must be available to work additional hours, evenings, or weekends as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$19.00 - $21.00/hour.
