Overview Join the Greenscape Solutions team as a String Trimmer Operator and play an important role in maintaining clean, professional-looking residential and commercial properties. In this hands-on position, you will operate commercial-grade string trimmers to maintain areas that cannot be reached by mowers, including around trees, fences, buildings, flowerbeds, sidewalks, curbs, and other obstacles. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced lawn care environment. Responsibilities Operate commercial-grade string trimmers safely and efficiently to maintain grass, weeds, and vegetation around customer properties. Trim around trees, fences, buildings, flowerbeds, signs, sidewalks, curbs, driveways, and other areas inaccessible to lawn mowers. Maintain a consistent, clean, and professional appearance across residential and commercial properties. Use commercial backpack blowers to clean sidewalks, driveways, patios, flowerbeds, and other hard surfaces after trimming. Assist mowing crews with general lawn maintenance duties when needed. Load, unload, and properly maintain string trimmers, blowers, and other lawn care equipment. Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or equipment damage to management. Maintain a clean and organized work truck, trailer, and equipment. Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment. Work efficiently to complete assigned properties while maintaining Greenscape Solutions' quality standards. Communicate professionally with customers and team members while working on customer properties. Identify and report potential hazards, property damage, irrigation issues, or other concerns encountered while working. Assist with other lawn care and landscaping duties as assigned. Experience Previous experience operating commercial string trimmers or similar outdoor power equipment is preferred. Previous lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance experience is a must. Ability to safely operate string trimmers, backpack blowers, and other handheld lawn care equipment. Ability to work safely around lawn mowers, trailers, trucks, and other commercial equipment. Basic knowledge of lawn care and property maintenance practices. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to recognize basic equipment issues. Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, professional results. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Strong physical stamina and ability to perform outdoor manual labor throughout the workday. Ability to work in hot, humid, and changing outdoor weather conditions. Valid driver's license and clean driving history for past 5 years. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance are expected.
