The Caster Operator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking care of our customers by executing the division's safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability objectives. The Caster Operator's main task is to safely operate and maintain the 4 Strand Continuous Caster. Duties also include working in and around liquid steel, opening and closing strands, operating jib crane/mobile equipment, safely assist the torch pulpit in cutting billets to length and insuring billet quality standards are achieved, as well as assisting in basic maintenance of equipment. The Caster Operator will work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime and vacation coverage as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Requirements:
