Header Job Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Foundry Operator, where you'll be at the forefront of aluminum melting and casting processes. As a Foundry Operator, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various foundry equipment to produce aluminum billets. Responsibilities Operate a variety of foundry machinery including forklifts, loaders, furnaces, casting equipment, and other cast house specific tools . Set up and calibrate equipment such as furnaces, casting equipment , and billet saw to meet production specifications. Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and measuring tools to adherence to specifications. Maintain safety standards by following strict safety protocols. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Qualifications Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as forklifts , loaders, billet saws, furnaces, or casting equiptment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret machinery performance. Familiarity with shop math, basic math skills necessary for measurement and calculation tasks in manufacturing environments. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace. Ability to set up machining tools, perform precision measurements, and conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues quickly and effectively.
