Set-Up Technician 1st shift: Monday

Friday:

6am

•2:30pm

Pay Range:

$22.00

•$25.00

Corona, CA SUMMARY:

The Set-Up Technician changes tools in the injection-molding machines and preps the work area for the following job.

RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY

Set up the mold in injection-molding machines as per the set-up procedure. Pull out the mold at the completion of work order. Prepare the mold for storage at the assigned place. Clean the machine and surrounding area after the mold has been set-up. Set-up the auxiliary equipment needed for running that mold. Change the interchangeable inserts as required. Any other work assigned by the supervisor related to the molds. Keep a log of all time spent on each job assigned (Production form 5.0.33).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Forklift Certification required. High School education desirable.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Must be punctual and dependable. Must have at least 3 years of experience as set-up person or 5 years as assistant set-up person. Must have good working knowledge of English. Must be able to read and understand work instructions. Must be able to understand the mechanical drawings. Must have his/her basic tools needed for set-up. Must be trained in forklift safety and inspection procedures.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to stand for a long period of time. Frequent climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, walking required.

$22.00
