Full Job Description Position:
As a Mold maker, who will report directly to the Toolroom Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing several facets of mold making, mold repair and maintenance, tooling and fixtures including developing to ready for production status.
Key Goals:
Become a trusted and respected leader. Achieve the system development performance goals on the AVNA Report Card (Efficiency, Cost savings and continuous improvement), assigned objectives related to AVNA strategy, as well as working with the NPD and Project Management teams to successfully execute and launch new programs/strategies/systems for each.
Responsibilities:
Lead by example and live the AVNA Vision, Mission, Values and Strategy Show positive attitude and be a strong team player. Good attendance and on time to work. Be able to lift moderate loads regularly (under 40 lbs.) Drive for results and satisfaction of both internal and external customers. Fabricate tooling to the highest standard and best practices. Look for opportunities for better tool building efficiency. Organize, prioritize, and plan accomplishment of multiple tasks. Mentor apprentice and mold makers/tool makers with less experience. Submit ideas for improvement and safety suggestions regularly.

Good communication skills (oral and written) Focus on quality workmanship and dimensional accuracy of assigned work. Flexibility of work schedule as overtime and Saturday work may be required. Key Skills Proficient in Mold construction Proficient on all toolroom machines. Proficient with a EDM sinker. Proficient Surface grinder. Proficient on all toolroom machines. Proficient with common measuring tools. Basic computer skills. Solid documentation skills. Blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T Key Experience Minimum 5 years' experience mold and/or tool making. Working to tight tolerances. Experience with PFMEA a plus Experience with molding machines a plus Some knowledge of tooling design a plus
