50 Job Description The Molding Technician is responsible for basic and advanced equipment and process set-up, changeovers, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and basic repair and rebuild. Equipment includes Injection Molding Machines and associated ancillary equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform machine/mold safety checks; perform mold changeovers. Perform cycle checks, adjust business plan and prioritize workload according to business needs. Make accurate process adjustments to alleviate non-conforming parts. Perform mold start-up/QC Inspection; set up gages to perform QC checks. Carry out basic cleaning of molds; complete preventive maintenance. Utilize MVP in relation to PM tasks. Maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas. Assist in the training of new Technicians. Assist Operators as required. Process material changeovers
- fill barrels, mix materials and ensure traceability. Execute basic functions of the Shibaura Injectvisor operator controller
- load programs and process adjustments.
Model company values and support strategic initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned or required. This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site). Engage others, promote and participate in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.
