Job Description

Restoration 1 of Waterbury is looking for a dependable, hardworking Restoration Technician/Laborer with previous experience in restoration, construction, demolition, or a related trade to join our growing team. We specialize in water damage restoration, mold remediation, fire/smoke cleanup, and property damage mitigation throughout Connecticut. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working on active job sites, understands basic demolition and construction practices, and can work efficiently as part of a restoration crew. Responsibilities
  • Perform water damage mitigation and demolition
  • Remove damaged drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinets, trim, and other building materials
  • Set up and remove air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and other restoration equipment
  • Assist with water extraction and structural drying
  • Perform mold remediation and containment work
  • Assist with fire and smoke damage cleanup
  • Move, protect, and manipulate customer contents as needed
  • Maintain containment and job-site cleanliness
  • Load/unload equipment, tools, and materials
  • Clean and maintain company vehicles and restoration equipment
  • Follow job-site safety procedures and proper PPE requirements
  • Take direction from Lead Technicians and Project Managers
  • Participate in occasional after-hours/emergency restoration work Qualifications
  • Previous restoration, construction, demolition, remediation, or similar hands-on experience preferred
  • Water mitigation or mold remediation experience is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with restoration equipment such as air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, moisture meters, and extraction equipment is preferred
  • IICRC WRT and/or AMRT certification is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs
  • Comfortable working in basements, crawl spaces, and other job-site environments
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Reliable transportation to work Schedule This is a full-time position , primarily Monday through Friday. Because we are an emergency restoration company, employees must also be willing to participate in occasional after-hours, weekend, and emergency work when needed. What We Offer
