Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Process Technician specializing in plastics injection molding to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the injection molding processes to ensure high-quality production, optimal machine performance, and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot complex issues, and support the manufacturing of precision plastic components. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to innovative manufacturing solutions in a fast-paced environment. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor plastics injection molding machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. Perform routine inspections of molds, machines, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly, utilizing mechanical knowledge and understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations from quality standards. Maintain accurate documentation of production data, machine performance, and quality checks. Assist with materials handling, including loading raw materials into machines and managing finished goods within the warehouse or fabrication areas. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying waste reduction opportunities and implementing process improvements. Use hand tools and fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and plastics extrusion equipment for minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Follow safety protocols rigorously, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and forklift operation when necessary. Collaborate with team members in assembly, quality assurance, and materials management to ensure seamless production flow. Experience Proven experience working with plastics injection molding processes in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge related to plastics blow molding, extrusion, machining, and fabrication techniques. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine control and troubleshooting. Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely. Knowledge of quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments. Background in lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction. Hands-on experience with hand tools, press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machinery, and plastics processing equipment preferred. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and process adjustments. Warehouse experience including materials handling, inventory management, and safety compliance is advantageous. $25.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
