PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION

Work Schedule:
Full-Time, may have different assignments on each day
Physical Demand Category:
Light to Medium Second Shift (4:00pm
  • 12:00am)
Compensation:
$15.00/hr plus benefits
General Description:
Operate injection molding machine that forms various small plastic products. This is a semi-skilled position. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing setting.
Essential Duties:
  • Open and close press door (on casters) to maintain continuous cycle of the machine
  • Observe machine operation to detect machine malfunction
  • May measure workpiece dimensions using various hand tools such as calipers, gauges, etc
  • Workpiece Inspection:
    o Inspect workpiece for visual defects such as sinks, splay, cracks, etc o Record measurements and visual defects on QC chart
  • Trim flash from parts using a cutting tool
  • May place inserts in mold prior to cycling machine
  • Packs workpiece in box(es) for shipment
  • May occasionally operate a variety of light production type equipment such as a drill press, punch press, welding machine, etc
  • May perform secondary/assembly tasks
  • Perform job related tasks such as light workstation cleaning or making boxes for shipping products
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Critical thinking ability
  • Manual dexterity and good vision
  • Basic math skills, ability to interpret Quality Control Charts a plus
  • Ability to be trained on various jobs and carry out instructions
  • Ability to understand and adhere to safety rules
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of high school diploma required
  • Prior experience in a factory environment preferred
Attendance:
  • Must be punctual and maintain good attendance
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must submit a resume to be considered
  • Must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening and background check
