Asphalt Mill Operator BCS Construction Group Pinellas Park, FL Job Details Full-time $30 - $35 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Outdoor work experience Machine operation Caterpillar Driver's License Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description We are looking for an experienced and dependable Asphalt Milling Operator to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating asphalt milling equipment and working safely and efficiently on roadway, parking lot, and sitework projects. The Milling Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining milling equipment while working closely with the foreman and ground crew to ensure milling is completed according to project specifications. Responsibilities Safely operate asphalt milling machines and related equipment. Perform asphalt milling to the required depth, grade, and profile. Follow project plans, grade requirements, and direction from the foreman. Perform daily equipment inspections and identify mechanical issues. Assist with loading and hauling milled asphalt when needed. Work safely around dump trucks, rollers, skid steers, excavators, and other construction equipment. Maintain proper communication with ground personnel and truck drivers. Keep milling equipment clean and properly maintained. Help with general sitework and construction activities when milling work is not being performed. Follow all company and OSHA safety requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Be willing to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and travel to different job sites as project schedules require. Qualifications Previous experience operating an asphalt milling machine preferred. Experience with roadway, parking lot, or commercial site milling. Ability to read and understand basic plans, elevations, and milling depths. Knowledge of proper milling procedures and equipment operation. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to perform physical labor and work as part of a construction crew. Dependable transportation to and from job sites. Strong safety awareness and good communication skills. Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Preferred Experience Wirtgen, Caterpillar, Roadtec, or similar milling equipment. GPS/grade control systems. Asphalt paving and roadway construction. Experience working around dump trucks and coordinating truck loading. General heavy equipment operation. Pay:
Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
