JOB DESCRIPTION
An Injection Molding Process Technician is responsible for setting up, operating and troubleshooting injection molding machines to produce parts made from plastics, or other materials. This role ensures that production runs smoothly, products meet quality standards and machines operate efficiently.JOB TITLE

PLANTMANAGER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set-Up and Operation Set-Up and adjust injection molding machines according to specifications and production requirements Ensure machines are equipped with the proper molds, tools and materials to product quality parts Operate machines and monitor their performance to ensure the production of high-quality molded products Perform regular mold and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure consistent product qualityPROCESS MONITORING & TROUBLESHOOTING
Continuously monitor the injection molding process to ensure it is running efficiently and safely Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the molding process, machinery or tooling Make adjustments to the machine settings to optimize production and reduce defects Collaborate with Management Team to identify opportunities for process improvement Suggest improvements in the molding process to increase efficiently, reduce scrap and improve product qualityTECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in operating injection molding machines, mold set-ups and machine calibration Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues Familiarity with quality control processes and equipment used in injection molding Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six SigmaQUALITY CONTROL
Inspect molded parts for conformance to product specifications using measurement tools and visual inspection Collaborate with quality control inspectors to ensure that all products meet quality standardsMAINTENANCE & PREVENTIVE CARE
Perform routine maintenance on injection molding machines, molds and auxiliary equipment Conduct regular cleaning and lubrication of machines and molds Assist Maintenance with replacing or repairing machine parts as needed to maintain optimal performanceDOCUMENTATION & REPORTING
Complete production reports, including details of machine performance, downtime and any maintenance performed Record adjustments, machine settings and quality data to maintain accurate production records Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding machine performance and any potential issuesEXPERIENCE
3+ years of experience in high-speed injection molding required, specificallyARBURG & NISSEI
5+ years of experience in Injection Molding 2+ years of experience in In-Molding-Labeling processes required Experience with robotic automation in injection moldingSAFETY & COMPLIANCE
Adhere to all safety standards and protocols while operating machines and handling materials Ensure the work environment is clean, organized and safe for all team members Follow all industry and company regulations regarding environmental and safety complianceEDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training in injection molding or manufacturing processes is preferredSOFT SKILLS
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Basic computer skills using Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and OutlookPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
