Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other machinery to handle and transport stone materials safely and efficiently Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, polishing, and finishing stone surfaces according to project specifications Follow blueprint drawings and technical specifications to ensure accurate dimensional measurements and proper assembly of stone components Adhere strictly to safety standards and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection when working with dust or hazardous materials Perform fabrication tasks including machining and milling to prepare stone pieces for installation or further finishing Handle materials with care during loading, unloading, and storage in warehouse or fabrication areas Conduct quality control checks on finished products, ensuring they meet design specifications and safety regulations Qualifications Proven experience in construction, manufacturing, or stone fabrication environments with familiarity in handling heavy equipment and power tools Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting Skilled in using hand tools such as chisels, grinders, tape measures, and other measuring devices for precise work Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, safety regulations in production environments, and proper handling of materials Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations Experience with blueprint reading and following detailed specifications for dimensional accuracy Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in physically demanding conditions Join us as a Stone Sawyer if you're passionate about craftsmanship, safety-conscious work practices, and creating enduring stone masterpieces.
