Position Summary The Adhesive Mixing and Waste Processing Operator safely prepares adhesive batches, processes waste adhesives and inks, and supplies coating operations with the correct materials. This position follows established Standard Work Practices, quality procedures, production schedules, and work instructions to prevent production delays and maintain safe, efficient operations.
Shifts:
Nights-5AM-5PM based on a 2-2-3 schedule (overtime as needed based on business needs) Mix adhesive components in a safe, effective manner. Treat and process waste adhesives and inks. Where applicable, adhere to the defined Standard Work Practices. Mix adhesive per coating schedule to ensure that coaters do not go down waiting on adhesive. Ensure that all materials and supplies are correct for product being produced per CSI and/or work instructions.
Knowledge:
Must know and understand quality procedures, standard operating procedures, proper setups, basic math, and productivity requirements. Must know and understand the computer operating procedures for production reporting. 2.
Experience:
Maximum time to perform satisfactorily in the job is 90 days. High School diploma or equivalent Batch adhesives averaging about 30 to 48 drums per shift. Push force of 20-30 pounds required Weigh out catalyst, defamer, water, and other additives 30 to 48 cycles per shift.
