Great Pay + Comprehensive Benefits Job Description Summary Join a growing custom injection molding and mold building operation serving the medical, aerospace, and industrial equipment industries. We're seeking a Moldmaker to build, maintain, and repair precision plastic injection molds in a collaborative tooling environment. This opportunity is open to both developing Moldmakers and experienced professionals. More junior candidates can continue building their skills alongside an experienced team, while seasoned Moldmakers can take greater ownership of complete mold build projects and mentor others. What You'll Do Build plastic injection molds to drawings, specifications, and 3D CAD data. Support or lead mold build projects based on experience. Perform mold assembly, fitting, machining, and tooling work. Build assembly and machining fixtures. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on existing molds. Complete mold insert changeovers. Work with CNC, EDM, manual milling, and grinding equipment. Inspect tooling using micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, and other instruments. Troubleshoot mold build, tooling, and repair issues. Collaborate with Moldmakers, engineers, and the Tooling Supervisor. Mentor apprentices and developing team members as experience allows. What You'll Need Prior Moldmaker or Moldmaker Apprentice experience in plastic injection molding. High school diploma and completed trade school training. Ability to interpret part and mold drawings and specifications. Knowledge of plastic injection mold building and tooling processes. Experience with precision measuring instruments. Working knowledge of CNC, EDM, manual milling, and grinding equipment. Working knowledge of computers and CAD/CAM software. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively within a collaborative tooling environment. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift What Would Be a Plus Experience independently building plastic injection molds from start to finish. Experience leading mold build projects. Experience mentoring Moldmaker Apprentices or junior team members. Experience supporting medical or aerospace manufacturing.
