Injection Molding Setup Technician / Assistant Supervisor HQC Incorporated -
Oswego, IL Pay:
$22.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience

2:45 PM-11:45 PM & 3rd

About HQC Incorporated HQC Incorporated is a well-established plastic injection molding company with 38 years in business and 30 years proudly located in Oswego, Illinois. We manufacture parts for food packaging, medical devices, and personal care products in a clean, modern, air-conditioned facility. Our team is committed to quality, reliability, safety, and supporting employees who want to grow their skills. HQC operates 24/7. Schedules may include weekdays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays as needed, but employees are not required to work every weekend. What We Offer
  • Competitive pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience
  • 7 paid holidays starting after 30 days

  • Opportunities to learn, grow, and advance into leadership responsibilities Job Overview We are hiring a mechanically inclined Injection Molding Setup Technician / Assistant Supervisor to join our production team.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with injection molding experience who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving production issues, supporting quality, and continuing to build technical and leadership skills. The right candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, eager to learn, and ready to help keep production running smoothly. What You'll Do
  • Perform color changes and assist with setup-related tasks.
  • Troubleshoot injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to help correct product defects and maintain quality standards.
  • Support production flow by identifying issues and communicating with team members.
  • Develop the skills needed to help support and lead the shift when the supervisor is not present.
  • Follow company policies and procedures and help team members do the same; safety is the top priority at HQC.
  • Inspect and pack products as needed to relieve packers for breaks and lunches.
  • Learn production materials and proper material handling procedures.
  • Help maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
  • Continue learning and assist with other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
  • Injection molding experience required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to keep learning.
  • Experience working around injection molding equipment, preferably molding machines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and make machine adjustments.
  • Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English.
