Evansville Indiana Responsibilities The Process Technician is responsible to support all aspects of the molding process to produce quality molded parts. Responsibilities and Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Follow daily production schedules and priority ranking. Accurate set-up of injection molds, end of arm tools, robots, grinders and other equipment. Trouble shoot molding machines and bring parts into specifications for size, appearance, flash, splay, cycle time, etc. Process a variety of materials, which includes but is not limited to: P.P., HIPS, ABS, Nylon, PVC Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. Track production data, such as machine downtime, scrap, maintenance, etc. Originate maintenance work orders. Contribute daily to help achieve the targeted department overall equipment efficiency OEE and minimize scrap rate. Ensure organization, cleanliness and maintains safe work environment within molding department and plant (5S). Identify opportunities for continuous improvement with molds, presses, change overs, etc. Communicates and notifies issues to supervisor, as they arise. Complete assigned reports and documentation Qualifications and Skills Required qualifications: Prior mold processing and mold setting experience preferable. Mechanical aptitude and problem solving is must. Strong interpersonal, decision making, time management and basic math skills. Excellent oral, written and analytical skills Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize. Ability to work alone or as part of a team. Ability to communicate effectively with other associates, and management. Responsible to follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations Responsible for training resin handlers and die setters.
