Job Description
Mold Maker Job Description - CALL Doree at 812-941-6710 to schedule interview. Required We are seeking a skilled Mold Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plastics injection molding and tooling, with the ability to fabricate and assemble high-quality molds. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of mechanical principles. The Mold Maker will work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure that molds meet specifications and are produced efficiently. Responsibilities Design, fabricate, and assemble molds for plastics injection molding processes. Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure molds meet exact specifications. Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles in mold design and manufacturing. Operate stamping presses and other machinery as needed for mold creation. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot mold issues and implement improvements. Maintain equipment and tools in optimal working condition through regular inspections and maintenance. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Experience Proven experience in plastics injection molding and tooling is essential. Proficiency in machining techniques and the ability to fabricate complex components. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using CAD software for mold design. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and their application in quality control processes. Experience working with stamping presses is a plus but not mandatory.
