Feed Mill Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated individual with honest work ethic to join our team as a Feed Mill Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and producing custom livestock feed rations. We are a small, family-owned, faith-based business, committed to producing high-quality animal feed products, while upholding safety standards. We are seeking a like-minded individual who has experience in livestock feed or is highly motivated to be quickly trained. A commitment to customer service is also a must, as this is a core value of our business philosophy. A CDL is preferred for this position, since we are a small team and the position may be called upon to fill in for deliveries. Operate a forklift to manage and inventory products. Deliver feed, when needed to local farms. (CDL preferred) Handle materials safely, using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; manage inventory levels and assist with warehouse organization. Conduct quality control inspections and meet safety standards. Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools and adherence to industry safety standards. Work with other team members on maintenance projects. Qualifications Experience working in a livestock manufacturing facility or capacity to learn the skill quickly. CDL preferred. Basic knowledge of mechanics. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely; certification is preferred. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Physically be able to climb ladders. Basic knowledge of livestock feeds preferred. Basic math skills for completing rations. Good communication skills with management and other employees Commitment to customer service.
