Technicians are responsible for the disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of Plastic Injection Tooling with a high level of accuracy. Other tasks include troubleshooting tooling problems, minor repairs, configuration changes, and the replacement of tooling components. Keeping production molds in a ready to run state.
Troubleshooting and predicting mechanical and performance issues in our molds.
Inspecting and analyzing critical components both old and new for defects.
Effective communication (verbal and written)
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 50 pounds.
It is essential that this position be performed at the facility. Requirements High school diploma or GED
Strong mechanical aptitude.
High level of motivation and self-management.
Minimum of (3) years of hands-on technical experience with a proven work history.
Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical knowledge.
Basic math and computer skills.
Familiarity with reading blue prints and schematics.
Required to work a 12 hour day or night shift. (3on/2off/2on/3off)
Ability to be on call when required. Desired Qualifications Two or more years of community college/trade school.
Previous manufacturing, injection molding or plastics experience.
Prior diagnostic and troubleshooting experience in areas such as: industrial ac, elevators, escalators, diesel mechanics, HVAC and/or automated manufacturing equipment.
