Job Description:
We bring you Tomorrow's opportunity, today. Volt is immediately hiring an Injection Mold Operator 1st shift in Chicopee, MA 01022.
Summary of position:
Making plastic Microplates used in Labs around the world. These parts are made from an Injection Mold press. The operator inspects the parts that come of the Molding press to be sure they are within specifications. After they inspect them, they will stack and bag them and they also input their production digitally. They have a computer at every press with work instructions as well.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform work in accordance with documented procedures in Traveler package. Ensure product inspection criteria are observed and implemented throughout work shift. Ensure timely arrival at workstation and follow posted break and lunch schedules. Follow department work schedule such that machine coverage ensures continuity in production. Follow department procedures related to dress code and proper handling of product. Track production, scrap, downtime, and machine adjustments that have been performed. Stop production and inform supervisor when product does not meet specifications. Document production on forms provided to enable accountability. Demonstrate care in the use of calibrated measuring instruments provided for the performance of job function. Ensure proper function of all tools provided for the inspection and production of product. Always maintain a clean and safe work environment. Observe all safety requirements in the work area. Always follow good housekeeping practices in work area. Have knowledge of ISO procedures and Quality policy. Control non conformances to prevent unintended shipment. Ensure all product not meeting specifications are segregated and properly marked
Qualification:
Need to have either injection mold operation experience or a machine operator in a production or manufacturing environment where you have actually produced the part and have a good work history. Education High School diploma or equivalent This is a

position; must be able to report onsite daily.
