Northeast Manufacturing is adding another CNC Lathe Operator to our production team. This is an operator-level position focused on safely running CNC lathes, producing precision parts to customer specifications, performing required in-process inspections, and maintaining accurate production and quality documentation. Full CNC programming and independent machine setup are not required for this position.
Required Qualifications:
At least 2 years of CNC lathe / turning experience. Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints. Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to understand dimensions and tolerances and verify parts against print requirements. Experience making routine CNC offset adjustments. Ability to follow documented processes, travelers, and inspection requirements. Ability and willingness to use or learn tablet-based job tracking and production documentation. Prior experience with our specific system is not required. Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain consistent quality during production runs.
Responsibilities:
Operate CNC lathes using established programs, setup information, travelers, and work instructions. Load and unload parts and monitor machining cycles for proper operation. Make routine tool-wear and offset adjustments within established process requirements. Read and understand blueprints, dimensions, tolerances, and machining instructions. Perform required in-process dimensional checks at the specified frequency using calibrated precision measuring equipment. Use tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators as applicable to the job. Use a tablet at the machine to review job information, track production activity, and complete required digital production and quality documentation. Complete required inspection checklists, travelers, and production records accurately and follow applicable

quality procedures. Identify and segregate rejected or nonconforming parts and promptly report dimensional, tooling, machine, or process problems to the appropriate supervisor. Spot deburr, clean, and handle completed parts as required. Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow shop safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of CNC lathe or CNC turning experience. Experience with Fanuc CNC controls. Experience producing close-tolerance precision-machined components. Familiarity with GD&T. Experience working in an
ISO 9001
quality-controlled manufacturing environment.
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
