As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Machinist to join our team and contribute to our mission of excellence. We are looking for a full-time Machinist to operate a variety of machines to produce high-quality parts and components. As a Skilled Machinist at S&G Press and Machinery, you will play a crucial role in the press rebuilding process. You will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines, including Boring Mills, Lathes, Grinders, and Mills, to create precision components to exact specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the machining processes, be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments, and possess a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual machines to produce parts according to drawings and specifications. Perform precision machining tasks such as milling, turning, drilling, and grinding. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, making necessary adjustments as needed. Maintain and troubleshoot machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Collaborate with team members to solve technical issues and optimize production processes.
Requirements:
Proficiency in operating manual Boring Mills, Lathes, Grinders, and Mills. Proven experience as a Machinist, with a minimum of [7] years in precision machining. Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and effectively report issues or progress.
