2015 Certified. Hoffmann Die Cast will provide its customers with the best quality products at the most competitive prices possible. We are seeking a skilled Furnace Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and attention to detail. 1-2 years Furnace Operator experience required. Die Cast experience a plus Adhere to all safety precautions per
MIOSHA/OSHA
guidelines. Ensure furnaces are functioning within Standard Operating Procedures Maintain levels on the holding furnaces on die cast machines full of metal and proper temperature. Understand control panels and start/stop operations of a furnace. Understand the practice of handling metal, bull ladles, and transferring metal safely to machines. Daily skimming, cleaning, and fluxing furnaces. Knowledge of alloy storage Maintain proper volume level in holding furnaces by transferring aluminum from furnace to die cast machine by use of fork lift and bucket ladle. Skim impurities from aluminum using hand strainer. Must be able to work in an environment without temperature control. Wage based on experience
