We are currently seeking an Injection Molding Machine Operator to join a thriving production facility in Shelby Township, MI. You will play a vital role in managing injection molding machinery, performing quality checks on components, handling product finishing and packaging, and contributing to a productive and secure workspace.
Position Details Shift schedule:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Consistent, full-time employment Potential for extra hours depending on operational requirements Room to expand your expertise in manufacturing and injection molding Collaborative and energetic workplace culture Comprehensive benefits upon permanent hire: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and paid time off Your Daily Responsibilities Manage injection molding machinery to ensure high-level operational efficiency Examine molded components to verify they meet quality benchmarks and help maintain high standards for the team Finish, assemble, and box items to prepare them for distribution Oversee machine performance and communicate any technical or production concerns Keep precise logs regarding production output, waste, and machine downtime Adhere to defined quality protocols and production specifications Help keep the production floor tidy and orderly to ensure a safe environment for everyone Contribute to lean manufacturing goals and ongoing process enhancements Comply with all established safety guidelines and protocols Complete additional tasks as requested by management Our Requirements Previous experience with injection molding is highly desirable Candidates with backgrounds in assembly, manufacturing, or quality control who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply Capacity to comprehend and execute both spoken and written directions Strong focus on detail to help the team consistently deliver high-quality products Reliable and punctual with a history of consistent attendance Capable of working effectively on your own or as part of a group Basic proficiency in math and measurement techniques is a plus Aptitude for mastering new equipment and production methods Professional demeanor and a dedicated work ethic Commitment to maintaining safety standards and hitting production targets Physical Demands Capable of standing and walking for the duration of the shift Ability to regularly lift, move, or transport materials within specified weight limits Capacity to perform consistent, repetitive motions with hands and arms Comfortable working in a production facility with typical noise levels and temperature fluctuations
