Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a mold setter on 2nd shift to join our Sterling Heights team, offering opportunities to apply your skills in a collaborative and safe environment across all shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
Executing scheduled mold/die changes on presses ranging from 500 to 3300 tons Ensuring timely completion of all scheduled and emergency mold changes Expertly setting up molds and related functions, including watering, knockout, hot runner setup, and hydraulics Setting parameters of molding presses according to process verification sheets Addressing fluid or air leaks related to molds Conducting mold pulling and resetting for repairs Active participation in and completion of WCM Project assignments Loading and unloading mold-carrying trucks Installing and removing auxiliary equipment from the molding floor Maintaining organization in the mold storage areas and setting supplies Completing all paperwork accurately and on time, in line with company procedures Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, both internal and OSHA-mandated Upholding high standards of housekeeping Ideal candidates should possess: A High School Diploma or GED 1-2 years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding mold setting A strong commitment to safety Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record Solid mechanical aptitude Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to embrace new processes Proficiency in operating powered lift equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and cranes
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$23.50 - $27.00 per hour
