Machine Operator
  • Sand Mold 1st Shift 02-Sep-2026 to 02-Oct-2026 (CST) Aluminum 1409 Vine Street, Le Sueur, MN, United States 25 per hour $25 DOQ Hourly Full Time Medical, Dental, 401k with Match, Generous paid holidays, PTO, UTO and more 1st shift Monday
  • Thursday 5am
  • 3:30pm with OT Friday and/or
Saturday The Position:
The Machine Operator in the Sand Mold department is responsible for operating a variety of molding machines to produce high-quality castings that meet customer specifications. This role ensures that all sand molds are manufactured in compliance with established quality standards and product requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Set up and operate various molding machines, ranging from automatic systems to manual cope-and-drag machines, ensuring proper and efficient operation. Prepare and pour sand molds in accordance with all quality standards and production requirements. Extract castings from sand molds post-pour and inspect them for quality, identifying any defects or deviations from specifications. Responsible for maintaining product quality and resolving any unusual operating conditions. Operate a forklift as needed. Demonstrate flexibility by adjusting work schedule and duties to meet the needs of the company. Perform all other duties as assigned. May be required to successfully complete specific education, training, or certification programs relevant to the role.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Minimum:
High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate; basic mathematical and computer skills
Preferred:
1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Functional Requirements Consistently able to:
Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch and bend. Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering for truck. Walk, sit or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks. Push / pull 100lbs. See, inspect, and evaluate product quality Read and understand written work instructions in English Work in a non-climate controlled environment, including hot and humid conditions. Walk up and down steps Climb ladders and stairs of varying height Wear task-based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Protective Footwear; Hearing Protection Protective Eyewear Gloves Additional PPE may as required by specific tasks
