Job Title:
Injection Mold Technician--Direct Hire! Job Description This role serves as a vital technical lead, applying advanced expertise to manage complex machine setups, troubleshoot intricate molding issues, and drive process optimization. You will act as a guardian of the 'Master Process,' using independent decision-making to correct process drift and eliminate defects like flash, warpage, and sink marks. The role bridges the gap between floor operations and engineering, requiring analysis of SPC data for quality control, leading preventive maintenance, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. As a mentor and proactive communicator, you will play a key role in the professional development of junior technicians, ensuring that safety, documentation, and high-performance standards are consistently met across the production floor. Responsibilities Manage complex machine setups and troubleshoot intricate molding issues. Drive process optimization and act as a guardian of the 'Master Process.' Correct process drift and eliminate defects like flash, warpage, and sink marks. Analyze SPC data for quality control. Lead preventive maintenance and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor junior technicians and ensure safety, documentation, and high-performance standards. Essential Skills 5+ years of injection mold technician experience. Ability to troubleshoot and set up machines. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications Plastics engineering technical degree. Continuous improvement experience. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
