WAGE:
$22.00 per hour $1/hour
Shift Differential SHIFT:
10-hour shifts: M-Th
- 3:30PM
- 2:00AM + Overtime
- Training on 1st Shift 7AM-5:30PM

POSITION
Mold Machine Operator
REPORTS TO
Production Supervisor
- Mold & Core
JOB SUMMARY
Combination of tasks in the Mold department to achieve agreed upon performance levels with respect to job safety, quality, production, cost, housekeeping and delivery. Perform all duties within the Mold department as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS:
Effectively and efficiently operate mold machines to meet the production demands of the of the melt department. Follows safety policies and wears required PPE at all times Reads and interprets all job card instructions to understand job specific requirements Staging of cores and patterns for upcoming job runs Performs changeovers and ensures smooth transition to next production run Sets up mold machine for operation Performs pattern inspections before running job Maintains a clean and organized work area Inspects each mold to ensure quality Performs daily machine operator preventative maintenance All other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED, preferred. Previous experience in core making or related machine operation preferred Prior foundry or heavy industrial work experience preferred
Physical Work Requirements:
Describe any physical and mental exertions including mobility, weight lifting, visual requirements, patient care handling, dexterity level of independent judgment and level of emotional stress such as dealing with emergencies.
This position involves regular:
bending and lifting; continuous standing for long periods of time on concrete surfaces; pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy parts and machines repetitively, must be able to use arms, hands, legs and feet in repetitive motions.
