Position Summary UbeCube LLC is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to support the safe, efficient, and consistent operation of our injection molding equipment and processes. This hands-on position is responsible for setting up molds and equipment, establishing and maintaining process parameters, troubleshooting production issues, supporting quality control, and assisting other Molding Department personnel. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, molds, machinery, and ancillary equipment. Candidates with 8-10 years of relevant experience are preferred. Key Responsibilities Machine Setup and Operation Independently set up and operate injection molding machines and ancillary equipment. Complete mold changeovers and prepare machines for production. Establish and maintain process parameters to meet production and quality standards. Follow production schedules, work orders, priorities, and quality specifications. Document mold changes, machine adjustments, and process settings accurately. Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, work orders, and production documents. Troubleshooting and Maintenance Diagnose and resolve production problems, machine malfunctions, process variations, and quality defects. Identify and address complex injection molding process issues. Perform preventive maintenance on injection molding machines and ancillary equipment. Coordinate with Maintenance to repair and adjust equipment as needed. Minimize downtime through timely troubleshooting and corrective action. Quality Control Monitor production to ensure finished parts meet company and customer requirements. Inspect molded parts using appropriate measuring equipment, including calipers. Recognize defects, determine probable causes, and make effective process adjustments. Partner with the Quality, Manufacturing, and Assembly departments to maintain product standards. Ensure inspections and process changes are documented accurately. Technical Support and Teamwork Develop and optimize injection molding process settings. Provide technical support and hands-on training to molding personnel as needed. Help the department meet production, quality, and efficiency goals. Communicate effectively with Engineering, Production, Quality, Assembly, Shipping, Maintenance, and management. Promote continuous improvement and identify opportunities to reduce scrap, waste, downtime, and process variation. Safety and Workplace Organization Ensure equipment is operated safely throughout every stage of the molding process. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area. Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, and potential hazards. Qualifications Demonstrated experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting injection molding machines. Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, molds, materials, and ancillary equipment. Experience performing mold changeovers and establishing process parameters. Ability to diagnose machine, process, and part-quality issues independently. Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, work orders, production schedules, and quality documents. Experience inspecting molded components and using precision measuring tools such as calipers. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Effective communication, training, and teamwork skills. Ability to manage production priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications 8-10 years of injection molding process technician or closely related manufacturing experience.
