Labor Connections has partnered with a growing zero-waste manufacturing facility to place Injection Molding Process Technicians to support the Conover, NC area! Our client is a plastics manufacturer producing drums, reels, and modular systems — a company experiencing strong, sustained growth. Rotating 12-hour shifts (1 for Day shift and 1 for Night shift) 36 hours one week / 48 hours the next Every other weekend required Employment type Direct Hire — permanent employment from day one. No temporary period. Compensation DOE (Depending on Experience) Position overview The Injection Molding Process Technician is responsible for supporting injection molding machines, robotics, and auxiliary equipment to ensure efficient production and minimal downtime. This role works closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to perform mold setups, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvements in a zero-waste manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities Perform mold setups, repairs, and preventative maintenance on injection molding equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime Support robotic programming and assist with automation improvements Conduct root cause analysis to identify and reduce defects and improve output Assist with machine setup to meet production goals and cycle time targets Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams on process improvements Requirements 3-5+ years of injection molding or process technician experience required Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Strong math skills and high attention to detail Microsoft Office proficiency required High school diploma required; technical training or degree preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; must be able to stand, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment Must follow all safety policies and wear required PPE Steel-toe boots required (safety glasses provided) Non-climate-controlled work environment Preferred qualifications Robotics experience — strongly preferred Technical training or certification in plastics, manufacturing, or a related field Experience with thermoforming or injection molding process optimization How to apply Easy apply on indeed, apply at laborconnectionsllc.com/careers or call our Conover office at (828) 668-5733. #IND3
