Slitter Operator - Day

OBJECTIVES

Produce 1 st quality material with minimal waste and downtime in a safe and efficient manner while achieving key performance indicators (kpi). Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Calculate and coordinate the raw materials needed for production.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Apply skill acquired to cut and inspect a product that meets or exceeds customer requirements. This includes order changes, deletions, cut-off periods and any other changes pertaining to order maintenance. 2. Maintain all paper work and records in a correct and professional manner. 3. Keeping the material waste to a minimum. 4. Keep work area clean and free of debris. 5. Record data using calipers. 6. Prepare orders for shipment, verifying the product meets customer specification.

SPECIAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

1. Positive communication skills. 2. Average math and reading skills. 3. Capable of using a tape measure and calipers. 4. Basic computer skills including the use of Windows based programs. 5. High School diploma/GED equivalent required. 6. Ability to meet production standards as set by the company. 7. Capable of walking and standing for long periods of time 8.
