Job Description
Overview This role is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient operation of the Continuous Tube Mill, including oversight of production processes and basic maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Set up and operate welded tube mill machinery in accordance with production specifications and safety protocols. Monitor and maintain product quality, production rates, and scrap levels to meet operational goals. Adjust basic tooling and holding fixtures to ensure proper machine function and product conformity. Perform visual inspections of finished parts to identify defects, burrs, or damage. Load and unload raw materials and finished parts to and from assigned machines. Prepare raw materials for processing, including measuring, handling, and staging materials as required. Observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or defective output; report issues promptly to Team Leader or Supervisor. Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of machinery and tools. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company housekeeping and safety standards. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to correctly read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company. Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision; work alone and in a team environment. Ability to develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures. Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations. Demonstrate basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). May be required to demonstrate strong customer relations skills.
