Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Maintains, repairs, and builds tools in the organization.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Works with standard tool room equipment such as but not limited to: mills, lathes, and grinders 2. Reads and interprets standard industry mechanical drawings of tooling and products 3. Completes engineering changes and modifies molds 4. Troubleshoots and repairs molds 5. Prepares molds for production 6. Repairs/changes configurations of molds based on production needs 7. Prepares molds for storage following production runs 8. Design and build secondary fixtures 9. Works with standard tool room measuring equipment such as, but not limited to: micrometers, vernier, calipers, indicators, and scales 10. Support continuous improvement through LEAN and HPT 11. Keeps a clean and safe work environment 12. Other duties as required 13. At time, overtime will be required
REQUIREMENTS
1. Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 2. Prior experience with tool and die making in injection molding is required 3. 6 years of tool & die making experience in plastic injection molds is preferred 4. At least 2 years machining experience 5. CAD/CAM knowledge is preferred 6. An ability to read prints and work with mathematical concepts 7. An ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables is preferred 8. Mechanical aptitude required 9. Basic computer skills 10. Good verbal and written communication skills. 11. Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills. 12. Must be able to effectively interact with others
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
