Job Summary:

The Mold Process Technician will be responsible for the efficient setup and preparation of molds used in production. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations and optimal production output.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Level 2: Proficient in all essential duties and responsibilities outlined in Level 1. Submit parts to the quality department using the job set up & start up log. Perform intermediate-level mold setups and teardowns, including EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) and cavity separator cells. Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot molds and adjust parameters based on machine data output analysis. Escalate complex issues to senior setup technicians, process engineers, mold makers, and quality personnel for problem resolution and optimization of process parameters. Assist in monitoring machine settings to meet quality and production targets. Fulfill any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Scientific molding training preferred. Require troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze machine data output to make necessary adjustments. Understanding of quality requirements and ability to conduct inspections using hand tools. Continuous improvement mindset and ability to contribute to productivity and efficiency enhancements. Mentoring and training skills to support the development of Level 1 Setup Technicians. Education, Experience, Qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) At least 3 years' experience setting up injection molds, EOAT, and ancillary equipment. Scientific molding training or certificate preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms.
• Frequent requirements include standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• The employee should also be able to talk and hear effectively.
• Ability to manipulate small parts and perform detailed handwork.
• Ability to lift weight of 30 lbs.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing environment requiring appropriate PPE.
• Manufacturing in ISO Class 8 cleanrooms requiring proper PPE including gloves and face mask.
• Exposure to typical noise level in the work environment that may requiring hearing protection.
• Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight hours per day
