Station or Machines:
Manual lathes Job Duties / Responsibilities Set up lathes Operate lathes Selection of tooling Inspection of product to blueprint Accurate reporting of production and labor to company procedures Update setup records as needed Locate, load, and store tape program Perform preventive maintenance as required Cleaning of work area Movement of parts to next operation Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Education or Certification) Two (2) years vocational school or one (1) year machine shop experience Must be able to read and write in English Must be able to operate hoist or crane High school graduate Five (5) years experience on NC lathes Minimum Physical Qualifications Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must be able to operate hoist or crane Minimum Qualifications One (1) year machine shop experience on manual lathes or high school graduate and six (6) months experience on manual lathes Familiar with safety rules and procedures Setup and operation of equipment Able to read blueprints and understanding of tolerances Understanding of quality procedures and requirements Must be able to read and write in English Familiar with departmental procedures and instructions On-Going Training Requirements Hoist and crane operation Safety rules Operation of machine Training and seminars as deemed necessary by management Minimum Physical Qualifications Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
